ADAC is a privately held, full-service automotive supplier with operations in North America and Europe. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., ADAC produces molded and painted interior and exterior door handle components, exterior trim, cowl vent grilles and marker lighting for worldwide automakers. Its United Kingdom based affiliate, PaintBox Group Ltd., provides painting and assembly services to high end and specialty vehicle manufacturers.

ADAC was initially established in 1972 as A-Line Plastics. In 1975, the company was incorporated as ADAC Plastics, Inc. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, ADAC added manufacturing facilities and design, development and engineering centers to become one of the world's largest producers of body-color painted door handle assemblies and other body-color trim pieces. Since the early 1970s, ADAC has grown from a staff of six and $12 million in sales to a $225 million company with more than 1,300 total employees.

ADAC's operations encompass more than 750,000 square feet of manufacturing space. The company is compliant with the ISO14001 Environmental Management System Standard and all five of its domestic manufacturing facilities have been designated by the state of Michigan as "Clean Corporate Citizens."
